We administer The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) for our area through the Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES).
Residents may visit twice a month and will receive one or more food boxes on the first visit, and bread, milk, eggs, produce and meat, if available, on both visits.
Our Backpack Program provides weekend food bags to nearly 300 nutritionally at-risk school students each year.
One our newest programs involves the tending of a small community garden at Sahuarita’s Anamax Park.
During the active Mexican winter/spring produce season, we are able to provide generous amounts of produce to all members of the community.
As part of our vision and mission, we’re dedicated to not only feeding people today, but helping them become self-sufficient for the future. Our Sustainable Families project is a collaborative effort with local human services and government agencies, churches and schools that addresses economic insufficiency in the greater Sahuarita and Green Valley area.
